To visit Augusta Georgia in the spring and summer a
person would understand why it is called the “Garden City”,
with all of the
beautiful flowers and shrubbery that line the streets. Augusta could be called
the “Golf City” or
the “Medical
City”. Augusta is the home of the “Augusta National Golf Club”, most golfers
refer to it as the ‘Masters”.
In 2002 a local
television station did a report on Augusta and the surrounding areas reporting
on the number of doctors.
It was reported
that Augusta had 960 doctors. Augusta has some of the best medical facilities
of any area in the world.
Augusta being the
home of the “Medical College of Georgia” which also includes the Dental School.
